We are happy to welcome Norman Leach as the new Manager for Extended Learning, Continuing Studies for Medicine Hat College
Norman is an award winning instructor and businessperson, three time bestselling author, and recognized volunteer. He has taught at multiple schools in Canada and abroad in both credit and Continuing Education programs. He is well known as a storyteller, bringing marketing, leadership and history to life.
Raised in Weyburn Saskatchewan he has lived in Tokyo and worked in Mexico City and speaks Japanese, French and Spanish. Norman is married to Maritza and has two daughters; Stephaine is studying space sciences at the Royal Military Colleges and fences on the Military Fencing Team and Chelsea just graduated from high school and is a Olympic style trap shooter.

Microsoft Office, which includes MS Word and MS Excel, is one of the most fundamental software programs used in professional settings. Online Safety Training
This 6 hour online Defensive Driving program is approved by the Alberta Government for reduction of 3 demerits points from an Alberta operator’s licence. A minimum mark of 80% must be obtained on the final exam to qualify for the demerit point reduction. -
ESTS Electrical Worker training is based on industry Standards and Regulation, providing documentation tools in support of the Employer’s overall Occupational Health & Safety Management System and an Electrical Safety Program. Our online electrical training course is CSA Z462-18 and CSA Z1001-18 compliant.
This course is designed with the intent of educating the participant in the hazards associated with the use of electricity. On completion of the course the AWWOA will issue to the registered member 0.3 CEU’s. This course has been updated to meet 2018 Arc Flash regulations
This course is approved for use in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba meaning it meets their provincial regulatory training requirements. After completing this online training course, you can take the provincial licensing exam in any of these provinces.

Canada Alberta Job Grant
NEW Exciting Changes to The Canada-Alberta Job Grant Program to Train 3 for the Price of 1
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is a training program where an employer applies on behalf of their present or future employee(s) for eligible training costs. Employers decide who gets training and what type of training may be needed for their employees.
Operational program changes:
The following permanent operational changes will make the application process more efficient. These permanent changes are effective as of February 18, 2021.
1. Training can start once the application is received by the CAJG.
2. Employers may pay for training at any time; however, the training cannot start until all trainee(s) have signed the application and the application is received by the CAJG.
3. Course information is no longer required to be listed on the training
provider’s website.
4. Customized training is eligible.
5. Revised list of eligible and ineligible training cost. Please see the Applicant Guide for the full list.
