Athletics Spotlight: Former NFL Player and ECC Warrior, Keith Ellison, Returns to South Bay as Head Football Coach for RUHS
Keith Ellison, originally from Inglewood and who transferred to Redondo Union High School his freshman year, is the newly appointed head football coach at RUHS. Formerly Redondo Union’s Defensive Coordinator from 2012 to 2020 under Coach Matt Ballard, he brought in eight former Redondo Union players, including older brother Chris, to help coach the Sea Hawks. “It really mattered to me to bring in coaches with an ownership, a love and affection for this place,” Ellison said.

Ellison, who went on to play college football at El Camino College and Oregon State respectively, played five years in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills.

So far, the Sea Hawks are off to a great start! They won their season opener against Long Beach Wilson with a 33-0 shutout. Welcome Back Coach! Read more about Coach Ellison and his return to high school football HERE.
