September 2022 IPE Community Update
Congratulations to Nikki Trupiano, AIHC Student Awardee for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
On the final day of the Nexus Summit 2022, Nikki Trupiano was awarded for her excellence in practice, leadership and education in IPE. Nikki has served as a co-chair of the IPE Student Advisory Committee for 3 years, served on various faculty committees that inform the IPE curriculum, taught in IPE programs, and practiced collaboratively in the UM Student-Run Free Clinic. Congratulations on this wonderful recognition of your efforts, Nikki!
In addition to Nikki’s national recognition, U-M was widely represented at the NEXUS summit, presenting 19 presentations and posters in all. Congratulations on a wonderful year!

Call for Abstracts: Collaborating Across Borders and National Academy of Practice
Two IPE meetings have open calls for abstracts for their 2023 meetings. We encourage submissions of completed and/or in progress work and have travel grants to support attendance to meetings.

NAP will be hosting their 2023 Annual Forum on March 30-April1 in Washington, DC. They are soliciting abstracts for platform/oral, symposium/panel, workshop, and poster sessions. Abstracts are due on September 21, 2022. Learn more here

CAB will take place virtually May 15-18, 2023 and is being hosted by the University of Toronto. They have opened their call for abstracts for posters, oral presentations, workshop presentation (main conference or pre-conference), and symposium presentation, which are due on October 3, 2022. Student Well-Being Sessions
The Wellness Office has released their fall schedule for student sessions on well-being which are open to all health science students. All sessions will take place at 12:00pm in 5000 THSL. Lunch will be provided. Students can register here

Innovation in Action - Upcoming Information Sessions & Call for Applications

Innovation in Action is an interdisciplinary U-M student program which supports students to take on the world’s biggest challenges through teams.

Call for Nominations: Evan Newport HOPE Awards

The Office of Patient Experience is seeking nominations for colleagues and/or teams that go above and beyond to exemplify the values of patient and family centered care.
