Emergency Preparedness

β€Š

Be Prepared, Stay Safe!

Wildfire season is here. SRJC campuses were temporarily closed in 2017, 2018, and 2019 due to wildfires in the region. All students should be prepared for the possibility of power outages, poor air quality, and evacuation.

  1. Sign-up now to receive emergency text alerts from SRJC.
  2. You can also subscribe to Nixle to receive alerts for the region.
  3. The Watch Duty app is also great for tracking wildfires.

Important Reminders

Sunday 9/4 is the last day to add a semester-length class with an add code AND the last day to drop without a W.

We will register all SEVIS records after First Census Day, see Academic Calendar.

Update your U.S. address within 10 days of moving.  IT’S THE LAW! Login to your Student Portal to update your profile then email ISP.

Do not accept a job until you get authorization from ISP. Unauthorized employment will result in termination of your F-1 status.

Monday 9/5 is the Labor Day holiday - SRJC campuses will be closed and there are no classes. This is a federal holiday celebrating worker's rights in the U.S.
