Bienvenido, bienvenue, benvenuto, willkommen to all. SAS offers a hardy welcome to new and continuing language learners! Classes in Spanish, French, Italian, and German are all starting soon, with different sections for different skill levels.

Shaun Johnson is returning and Patricia Almanzar joins the faculty to teach Spanish. In order of mastery, students may choose from Beginner (Course 11469), Advanced Beginner to Intermediate (Course 11471), Intermediate to Advanced (Course 11472), or Advanced Conversational (Course 11473), all starting on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Sylvie Corten returns for new sessions of Beginner French (Course 11492) and Intermediate French (Course 11493), starting in mid October.

Marguerita Beretta and Ettore Viazzo are both back to teach Italian, and share the rich culture and history of their native country Italy. Intermediate Italian (Course 11491) begins this week on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Monday sections of Beginner (Course 11382) and Italiano Conversazioni (Course 11383) have just been postponed and will start on October 3, 2022.

Claudia Schwartz returns to lead Advanced Beginner German (Course 11490) for students continuing from the most recent advanced beginner class as well as Intermediate German (Course 11509) for those who have completed the advanced beginner level. Both classes begin on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Catalog Additions and Scheduling Changes
Two new in-person daytime sections of Bridge: Supervised Play have been scheduled. The first, Course 11543, meets six times beginning on Wednesday, 9/21/2022, and then Course 11544 follows for five sessions starting on Wednesday, 11/09/2022. Class is geared for advanced beginners as well as intermediate and advanced players who seek to improve their skills through a combination of recreational play and organized learning.

The following classes in our Games category have been postponed, with new start dates listed below:

As noted above, the Monday sections of Beginner Italian (11382) and Italiano Conversazioni (11383) have just been postponed and will start on October 3, 2022.

Navigating Social Security and Medicare (11460) has been moved up by one day and will now meet on Tuesday, 10/11/2022.
