Power of Us
Millions of professionals and volunteers work with young people every day in the many settings where youth play, learn, and grow outside of the school day. Yet, we have little collective information about this essential workforce. We want to know more about those who are still in the youth fields and those who left, so that we can explore, define, and elevate this collective workforce and their work with youth.

National AfterSchool Association (NAA)
Over time, the OST field has made great strides in research, practice, and policies. The research clearly shows that skilled and knowledgeable program staff are the linchpin to high-quality programs that can lead to positive youth outcomes. NAA first published the Code of Ethics for OST Professionals in 2009. NAA then reviewed the Code of Ethics with an equity lens and revised it in 2022. The purpose is to raise awareness of OST professional personal commitments to ethical conduct as they carry out our responsibilities
