In The Words of Our Students …
"Overall I feel like this course was very valuable and I learned so much. I loved how hands-on everything was. And the biggest part of the learning that I personally appreciate the most was how much all of the instructors went into the 'why' behind all of the material. I feel like really digging deep into the 'why' behind the material being taught isn't often considered enough, and you all knocked it out of the park. It truly has been a pleasure. Thank you!"
– Aspeyn Langhals, Veterinary Assistant, Cincinnati, Ohio

A few fun facts about Suzie …
Comedy or drama films? Comedy. Laughter is the best medicine.
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate for SURE!!
Puppies or kittens? Puppies pull at my heart strings.
Beach or pool? Beach wins out for sure with the sounds of the waves and the thrill of boogie boarding and surfing. Did I mention beautiful sunsets?
Wine or beer? Depends on the occasion and the family or friends I am with. I love a glass of wine with my 94-year-old Mom at happy hour. I relish a cold IPA sitting by a stream, after a hike.

CHE Research Review
Effect of Massage Therapy on Pain and Quality of Life in Dogs: A Cross Sectional Study
Read the study from Vet Record
The Study: This retrospective study evaluated outcome reports of owners and clinicians from case notes of 527 dogs who had received massage therapy and myofascial release treatments. Changes in the number and severity of issues for five pain indicators including gait, posture, daily activity, behavior, performance, and quality of life score were reported. Significant reductions in pain indicators were noted in successive treatments. Post treatments a dog was more likely to have a positive quality of life.
Study Limitations: Retrospective study with limitations due to lack of control group and variable inclusion criteria.
Impact on Clinical Practice: Owners and clinicians report improvements in pain scores and quality of life for dogs who receive massage therapy.
