Netflix's End of the Road is a high-octane action thriller based in New Mexico. Lighting team members included Director of Photography Ed Wu, Chief Lighting Technician Lamarr “Gooch” Gray, Assistant Chief Lighting Technician Dwayne Willis, and Programmer Mark LaPierre, with lighting package the MBS Group. One Multiverse® Studio Kit and an additional Multiverse Node transceiver were used to provide wireless DMX/RDM for various on location shoots in the desert over two months. Earlier this month City Theatrical presented its newest technologies, like QolorFLEX NuNeon®, Tunable White HiQ High CRI linear lighting and QolorFLEX® 5-in-1 HiQ High CRI LED Tape, at PLASA Show 2022 at Olympia London. Our team had a great time at the event and caught up with many lighting friends from around the world! We also learned a lot about the industry happenings as a whole and its newest and emerging technologies.

QolorFLEX HiQ High CRI LED Tape at Live with Kelly and Ryan on WABC

Live with Kelly and Ryan entrance from September 13, 2022

To provide flicker-free talent eye / low lighting for the host chat table at the Live with Kelly and Ryan show, the lighting design team from WABC chose a combination of QolorFLEX HiQ High CRI LED Tape, 2700-6500K (Tungsten 2700K to Daylight 6500K in a single chip), QolorFLEX 5x8A Dimmers, and low profile diffusion and extrusion. This technology was built into the host chat desk in order to replace the old low CRI LEDs.

QolorFLEX Training at Local 479 Atlanta

City Theatrical Sales Manager Harrison Hohnholt presented a four-hour training on using QolorFLEX LED Tape and Dimmers for television and film lighting professionals at the IATSE Local 479 in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this month. The training had a strong emphasis on soldering LED tapes. There were 17 participants, many of whom are professional film electricians and fixture coordinators, who were able to gain practical hands-on LED tape skills that can be applied on current projects. This City Theatrical training comes as a follow up to the eight-hour Multiverse wireless DMX/RDM IATSE trainings held pre-COVID era, most recently during February 2020. Multiverse SHoW Baby hits the Runway in Tribeca

The Walker Hotel in Tribeca partnered with The Place during New York Fashion Week in September 2022 to build an experiential, physical-meets-digital hub with virtual galleries and a live marketplace to promote up and coming fashion designers. Six Multiverse SHoW Baby® units were installed on site at the Walker Hotel to provide wireless DMX control for an outdoor runway experience, and for the lighting design for the façade of the building. Both the runway and façade lighting each used three Multiverse SHoW Baby units, all of which were able to broadcast wireless DMX seamlessly for three days. Lighting package by Bentley Meeker Lighting and Staging.
