New Job Application Process
HR Department is now using the NeoGov Insight and Onboard. The NeoGov Insight is the applicant tracking solution for the public sector, while the NeoGov Onboard is a self-service portal that streamlines new hire paperwork, processes, and training.

Please note that we changed the application process. You can still find the list of open positions on Town's website. However, once you click on the 'Apply Now' link, you will be redirected to GovernmentJobs.com, where you can apply for the job.

Fall 2022 Steps Challenge Starts Soon!

Get ready for a Little Healthy Competition!
Registration: September 5, 2022 - September 18, 2022

Challenge: September 12, 2022 - October 24, 2022

The ahealthyme Steps Challenge is an engaging program that guides you toward better health and well-being. You and your co-workers can log as many steps as possible during the challenge period and encourage each other along the way.

Steps can be logged daily by signing into the ahealthyme website and entering data in the Steps Log, or by syncing your FitBit.

The three employees with the most steps will win a prize:
$50 gift card!

Housing Nantucket 

Nantucket Affordable rental housing opportunity for year-round households of low and moderate-income.

Available October 15, 2022


Three bedroom, 2.5 bath home soon to be completed through the House-Recycling Program. Amenities include a washer/dryer, rooftop solar panels, a large yard, and a full basement. Rent is $2,350 per month, utilities included. Tenants will be selected by lottery.

Completed applications must be returned to Housing Nantucket prior to 4 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022.

Just a reminder, staying up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations is the most effective way to lower the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death, even against emerging variants. While vaccine protection decreases over time, boosters restimulate the immune system and increase vaccine efficacy again.

Melissa Perry
Melissa Perry (known as Missy to most) transferred from Accounting Clerk to Assistant Tax Collector position! Missy is a Nantucket native. She attended Elementary, Junior High, and High School in Nantucket. After graduating from Nantucket High School, Missy attended Cape Cod Community College and Mount Ida College. She has a degree in Business Management and Fashion Merchandising. Missy has worked for the Town, in the Tax Department, for the past 3 ½ years. She also coaches Cheerleading for Nantucket High School. 

Before coming to work in the Tax Department, Missy was a Manager at Nantucket Bank and she also worked at Cottage & Castle.
 
Missy also has spent many years judging the Christmas trees for the Chamber of Commerce at Christmas Stroll and the Tailgate Picnics for Daffodil Day. Her favorite city she has spent time in is Washington D.C.
 
Missy enjoys bike riding, walking, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and football. She has 3 siblings, all who live in Nantucket, and many nieces and nephews.

John Hedden
John Hedden transferred from Public Health Inspector to Chief Environmental Health Officer. Nantucket has been John's home ever since he was 5 years old. He grew up enjoying the beaches, bike paths, natural beauty, downtown, and the people.

John looks forward to his new role with the Town and we wish him the best of luck!

Gale Bennett
Gale Bennett worked as an intern at PLUS this August. She just graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology. Gale studied information systems. She is from Wellesley, Massachusetts. Her hobbies are singing, drawing, and photography.
