Strong & Courageous
From 100 Favorite Bible Verses
After Moses’ death Joshua faced an overwhelming challenge; he had enormous shoes to fill when he stepped up to lead Israel. The Almighty knew that Joshua would have occasion to feel weak, overwhelmed, and discouraged. He also knew that Joshua had legitimate reasons to fear and be dismayed. And God spoke to those needs, which are your needs as well: “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed.” (Joshua 1:9 NKJV)
But God didn’t stop there for Joshua — and He doesn’t stop there for you. He gives you an empowering reason why you needn’t fear or be discouraged: “For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
So whenever you face something that makes you feel anything but strong and courageous, remind yourself that God is with you. And put one foot in front of the other one more time.
Thank You, Lord, for being with me wherever I go. With You as my source of strength and encouragement, I can face any challenge.

In September, please pray for our reliance on God's faithfulness for the completion of the project. Remember that Lamentations 3:22-23 says "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." (NIV) | |

The Impact Columbus team wants to thank all of the members who have supported the meeting with their attendance. We want to thank the members of the music ministry for their excellence and consistency. We thank Elders Oyortey, Dean, and Makanjuola for their Bible work. And most importantly, we thank the Holy Spirit for gracing us with His presence.
The Impact Columbus: Sharing Hope Revival meetings are at 7 PM at the Crowne Plaza Worthington, 6500 Doubletree Ave. The first Sabbath celebration as held on Sabbath, September 3. The meeting will be culminated with a baptism on September 10.

Holy Spirit Leading Children to Christ | |

"[Jesus] said to them, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.' " (Mark 10:14-15)
In case you haven't noticed, many of our children are making decisions for the Lord. Last spring, 16 students from Columbus Adventist Academy took their stand at the end of a student-led Spring Week of Prayer. This summer, 6 of those students participated in a Bible study led by Pastor Keith Goodman. They will be baptized at the end of the Impact Columbus meeting on September 10.
Other students from a variety of schools in the city have been studying with our elders and either have been baptized or will soon be baptized. Praise God for what He is doing in the lives of our children!
