(Left) Peer Plus also helped a church with outdoor clean-up preparations for a community event. (Right) Peer Plus junior volunteer Trinity Rodgers was well prepared for her first year of college, thanks to the 16th annual "Better Love Yourself" Trunk party at Malcolm X College. The event was founded by Chicago vocalist Terisa Griffin to promote higher education.
In September, Peer Plus also participated in the annual "Taste of Gospel," at 51st and King Drive (below, left) and in the 3rd memorial Kennedy Walk at the Kroc Center in Chicago. This walk was hosted by Marsha Evans (left in photo) in honor of her granddaughter Kennedy Parker, who bravely battled a rare form of cancer until 2020, at age 24. Her mother Darnesha Parker now runs "Project Kennedy," a nonprofit founded by Kennedy, to raise awareness about cancer.
