September Social Media Toolkit:

This Hispanic Heritage Month we are spotlighting resources to support America’s Hispanic entrepreneurs and offering volunteer opportunities for experienced Hispanic business owners. We have created the following toolkit for Social Media Chairs.

This Hispanic Heritage Month Social Media Toolkit serves as a resource guide for participating chapters to promote SCORE services, highlight success stories from Hispanic-owned businesses and spread the word about the resources that can be helpful for Hispanic entrepreneurs! This collection of materials will include a combination of graphics, articles, events, templates and even suggested copy to use throughout the month on your chapter’s channels.

Click on the green button below to register. Once you register, you will automatically be signed up for all upcoming Social Media Webinars, held the third Wednesday of each month.

September Social Media Updates:

Don't Miss Wednesday's Social Media Webinar!

In our last webinar of FY23, our focus area will be training on using your phone to capture video content for your chapter's channels. This will include best practices and examples. Then attendees will get a sneak peek into the FY24 Chapter Social Media Program AND can participate in a social media Ask Us Anything session!

Tune in for a presentation of mobile video best practices.

NLC Presentation: Growth in New Volunteers

As promised, here is an overview of what we covered at this year's National Leadership Conference. The social team mainly participated in the Growth in New Volunteers breakout session. The session focused on the tools you have to recruit new volunteers and how you can create consistencies throughout the onboarding process.

WATCH: NLC Recap Reel

Speaking of NLC, we had a wonderful time in Jacksonville! Over 450 attendees, representing chapters from all over the country, gathered to hear impactful updates and share best practices. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting representatives from your chapters who stopped by our booth! Here’s the recap. 🥳

Chapter Social Media Masterlist

We have compiled a masterlist to display all current SCORE chapters' official social media profiles, chapter members who have access to SOCi and Social Media Chairs assigned through Engage. Please use this document as a reference to see who has access to your social media accounts and who serves as the point of contact for newsletters and webinar invites.

Review the masterlist and let us know if you need any changes.

LAST CALL: Sign Up to Be a Social Media Chair

In an effort to identify contacts within each chapter that are responsible for chapter social media, we have created a Social Media Chair role in Engage. If you have not already designated someone as your Social Media Chair in Engage, please take the time to do so now. Beginning in FY24, Social Media Chairs will be the primary recipients of social media news, updates and announcements like this one.

Here's a quick look at SCORE Mid-Florida's approach:

  • Layers in relevant content and event promotions
  • Built her chapter's frequency up to almost daily posts
  • Added Twitter as an additional channel for her chapter
  • Uses SOCi to manage all of these accounts efficiently

Has your chapter done something awesome on social?

We'd love to celebrate you!

Thank you for all you do for SCORE and for America’s small business owners!

Best Wishes,

SCORE Social Media Team (External Relations)
