If you were enrolled in 4-H Online in the past 5 years, you already have a Household account in ZSuite. Resources for families and volunteers can be found on the Enrollment page.

4-H Nature Explorers Camp 2023

Kudos to the Santa Clara County 4-H Program for partnering with multiple community organizations to host a successful 4-H Nature Explorers Camp 2023! Held at Escuela Popular Bilingual Academy in East San Jose from July 17 to July 21, they hosted 79 K-8 campers, a 130% increase over the previous year! Partners in producing the event included Cal Fresh Healthy Living UC, Project Learning Tree, UC Environmental Stewards and UC Master Gardeners.


Bilingual teen camp counselors guided small groups of students for the duration of the day camp.

Emerald Star Webinars

Learn more about the next phase of the Achievement Program: Emerald Star I & II. Members must be Intermediate (11-13 years old) or Senior (14-19 years old) to begin Emerald Star I and progress to Emerald Star II. Mark your calendar for one of our upcoming webinars.

Using Hart’s Ladder of Participation, learn about the different levels of youth-adult partnerships and strategies for improving youth-adult relationships both within and outside of a County Ambassador Program. As a team, you will work through an activity designed to help you understand the Leadership Competencies and how to use them as a Teen Leader.

National 4-H Conference

National 4-H Conference

April 19-24, 2024

Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington, VA

Registration is now open for the National 4-H Conference. Sign up to represent the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program at this national conference hosted by the USDA.


If you are selected as a delegate to represent California 4-H at the conference, you will have the following opportunities:

  • Participate in round table discussions
  • Share your voice with federal partner agencies and congressional committees
  • Engage with your U.S. Senators and Representatives
  • Tour national landmarks in Washington, D.C.
  • Become familiar with the government and future career opportunities


Travel and conference expenses are sponsored by a generous grant from the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation.

Eligibility

Youth Delegates must be at least 16 years of age as of December 31, 2023 and enrolled as a 4-H Youth Member. 4-H members can only serve as a delegate to National 4-H Conference once.


Completed applications are due by 5:00pm November 30, 2023.

Completed applications must include the following:

  • Online application
  • 4-H Resume: email to jcolburn@ucanr.edu
  • Two references submitted online.


References should include one each of the following:

  • County 4-H staff person: 4-H Program Representative, 4-H Regional Program Supervisor, 4-H Advisor, or County Director
  • 4-H Member or recent 4-H alumni (not over 21 years of age)
