City of Palm Bay Patriot Day Ceremony

The City of Palm Bay will be hosting a Patriot Day Ceremony at Palm Bay City Hall on Monday, September 11, at 8:30am to honor the fallen.

Each of the lives lost on September 11th had meaning; they all had a purpose. It is our duty and our obligation to ensure that they will Never be Forgotten. Patriot Day is a day to honor every life that was taken too soon. We honor the first responders, the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency workers, and service members who answered the call of duty. We pay tribute to the brave civilians who rushed into action to save lives that day. Their courage represents the American spirit and resilience, and their heroism continues to inspire new generations of Americans.

We would like to congratulate the six Palm Bay Fire Rescue members who recently graduated from Eastern Florida State College’s Paramedic Program. The hard work and dedication that went into completing this program all while working full time for the department is truly astounding. Congratulations gentlemen!

Last month, Palm Bay PD's Office Manager for the Chief’s Office was recognized at the Florida Police Chiefs Association Summer Conference as the State of Florida’s Administrative Assistant of the Year! This was the first year the association awarded someone for this category, and Miss Joni Dipaolo is more than deserving of it.

Palm Bay PD Project 129

The Palm Bay Police Department recently introduced Project 129 in honor of the late Chief Jim Rogers, who held badge number 129 and set the foundation of what they are trying to build on with the department’s wellness program. This fitness center allows members of the agency, both sworn and civilian, the opportunity to come in on their off time or during their break to work out and relieve stress which in turn helps their mental health. Funded through seizures and forfeitures, this new equipment is just another tool to ensure their members are able to take care of their overall health and wellness.
