Thank you for helping serve the traveling fair workers when they were in Iredell County. They look forward to coming here, knowing they will be treated with love and respect. Thank you church coordinators who organized the meals we served, especially when I called you within days telling you to expect to serve more workers than I had originally told you. All the meals were delicious and served with kind hands and smiling faces. The number one request each year seems to be sweet tea, but the second most requested item this year was Spanish Bibles! The request for Bibles reminded me of Isaiah 55:11 “It (God’s Word) shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Please continue to pray for all the workers in their travels and pray God’s Word will come alive as they read the Bibles we shared.
Here’s the recap for the 2023 Fair Ministry: Meals served: 816
50 laundry supply bags, including a roll of quarters
43 men’s hygiene bags and 19 bags for ladies
14 free hair cuts
226 on-site volunteers
This was my last time coordinating this ministry pending my retirement at the end of this year. Thank you for your willingness to serve and support this ministry over the years. I’m sure the next SYBA Ministry Coordinator will love this ministry and will appreciate serving with you, too. Blessings, Mary Jane Hoover
