True Friends Awarded $10 million for New Recreation Center

True Friends was recently awarded $10 million from the Minnesota State Legislature to support the construction of a new Recreation Center at Camp Courage in Maple Lake, MN.

“After more than 50 years of use, the current pool and gym can longer support the thousands of participants we serve every year,” said President and CEO John LeBlanc. “The new Recreation Center will provide enhanced accessible amenities for individuals of all abilities to continually improve the experiences we provide.”

Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Challenge Grant

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation made a challenge grant offer of $150,000, matching dollar-for-dollar every capital donation and pledge True Friends receives for the Camp Courage Recreation Center Project. This challenge is very exciting and time-limited! To receive the grant, True Friends must raise $150,000 by December 31, 2023. Like other challenges of this type, the gift or pledge must be made to the Camp Courage Recreation Center Project on or before December 31, 2023.
