2023 Icon Awards Sizzle!

Last month BIA San Diego hosted the Annual Icon Awards to honor the people, places, and spaces that make the building industry shine. With an attendance of 450, this sold out evening in paradise was one to remember – featuring a Jimmy Buffet cover band, dancing sharks, margaritas, leis, and more. Over 250 nominations were submitted making this year’s categories very competitive. Thank you to all of our sponsors and vendors who helped make the evening a success and congratulations to all of the finalists and winners!

BIA Cares 28^th Annual Bike Drive Happening Now!

The BIA Cares Holiday Bike Drive is here again! For the past 27 years, BIA Cares has provided bicycles to underprivileged children in San Diego County during the holiday season. This would not have been possible without the generosity of our local BIA members and support from the SMC. This year’s BIA Cares Bike Drive is happening now, and your pledge of $75 will help hundreds of local kids receive a bike this holiday. If you wish to donate, click here and please, spread the word!

Capstone Studios Inc. Honored with Icon Award for Best Website Design

Capstone Studios Inc., a prominent Southern California-based design and marketing firm, is delighted to announce its Icon Award win at the 2023 BIA Icon Awards. This prestigious accolade acknowledges Capstone's outstanding design and marketing contributions to the sellout community project, Poway Commons, in collaboration with Meridian Communities under the direction of Lori Asaro at New Homes Now Selling. First Annual Cota Vera 5K in Otay Ranch

HomeFed Corporation's Côta Vera community in Otay Ranch attracted 300 runners for its first annual Côta Vera 5k Fun Run on October 14^th. After the run at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, the HomeFed team presented a check for $5,000 to Mauricio Torre, Vice President of program operations at SBCS, a local nonprofit serving youth and families.
