Performing Arts This Fall

Performing arts classes are not just for children. SAS provides adults with plenty of options to act and learn to play a musical instrument in a supportive group environment.

Aspiring comedians and thespians have opportunities to show off your talents this fall under the tutelage of Erika Radin. Acting and Improv (12147) includes exercises in pantomime, characterization, and improvisation beginning Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Radin continues the fun through Playreading (12240), a creative community experience culminating in a live performance open to friends and family. The specific play will be determined based on enrollment. Everyone in class is guaranteed a part! Rehearsals start Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Through our partnership with Hoff-Barthelson Music School, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, strummers can Learn to Play the Guitar (12116) from Rolf Sturm and Learn to Play the Ukulele for Beginners (12117) from Andrew Marino. The same day, string players should tune up in time for Mark Kushnir's course, Learn to Play the Violin (12118) and Amy Anwar's course, Learn to Play the Cello (12130).

The beat goes on for percussionists in Ring Your Bell! with Donna Elaine (beginners at 11:30am: 12120; experienced/advanced players at 10:30am: 12119) starting Friday, October 6, 2023.
