We will meet for lunch at a local restaurant. See the October Public Program Notice for more information.

If they are working on an Associates degree they may be awarded

$1,500 as a full-time student or $750 as a half-time student.

Ways and Means

Our next fundraiser is scheduled for September 20th at 3 Corners Grill and Tap, 7231 Lemont Rd. in Downers Grove. Please present your voucher to your server.

We will receive 20% of total net sales from that code for the day exclusive of liquor.

Please share the attached flyer with your friends and family.

This is a great opportunity for us to socialize with friends, support a local business, and make money for our branch.

Dare to Dream: Get Educated! was founded with the help of an AAUW National Community Action Grant and members from local Chicagoland branches, including the Downers Grove Area Branch, to work with middle school and high school Latinas to encourage and support their efforts to graduate from high school, to encourage college enrollment, and to introduce them to college and career role models. The first annual conference was in 2009 at Elmhurst College with 100 middle school girls & their moms. Since then thousands of girls & mothers have benefited from our organization.

The most recent conference was at College of DuPage in Jan 2023, and annual STEM conferences will also resume for the first time since Covid in Spring 2024 at Triton College.
