Hello, and welcome to the newly revived Champaign County Agricultural and Natural Resources Newsletter! For those that may not know me, my name is Grant Davis and I am the Ag and Natural Resources educator in Champaign County for OSU Extension. I started in this role a little over a year and a half ago, and in that time I’ve heard from several people that they liked the newsletter that had been done previously. So, after some small delays and some procrastination, here it is! I am planning to make this a monthly newsletter but could periodically send something more often if needed. I will include any recent articles that I think are relevant, and will try to include a variety of topics. I mainly would like to highlight any upcoming events, particularly local extension programming, but also anything that is agriculturally related, as well as noteworthy statewide programming that I think is of interest. Of course, the big upcoming event right now is Farm Science Review on September 19-21! We do have tickets available at the Champaign County Extension office, and available online (see link below). I plan to be at FSR in the agronomic team plot area, I hope you will find time to stop in and say hello and take a look at the plots.
