Plant for a late fall harvest!

Late summer plantings give you the chance to harvest well into the fall. Cooler temperatures benefit stronger growth and prevent veggies like lettuce from bolting.

Let's talk garlic!

Garlic is a species of bulbous flowering plant in the onion genus allium. Garlic should be planted in early fall or late summer. It takes about 10 months to grow and will be ready by spring or summer the following year. It should be planted about 2-3 inches deep so the roots develop but does not break the soil. One bulb can contain 20-30 cloves and grow over three feet high.
