From the Desk of the Executive Director/CEO

Welcome to September!

Where did the summer go? Schools are back in

session, and it’s time for Football Fridays, fall sports, cooler temps, and other fall favorites. September also signals that the Chamber has been in our new home at 400 Clinton Street for four years already!

We recently welcomed an impressive group of 20 area professionals to the 2024-2025 class of

Leadership Defiance County and look forward to showcasing our region’s many industries for them over the coming months. Many thanks to their many employers for believing in the program and to our Corporate Sponsor of Leadership Defiance County - Grube, Inc.!

If you haven’t yet, please sign up to join us at First Friday Luncheon on Friday, 9/6, our

Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet on 9/12, and Business After Hours on 9/19. Read on for details.

Best wishes to all for a sunny and prosperous September!

Blessings,

Sarah

2024-2025 Leadership Defiance County August Class

At the end of August, our 2024-2025 Leadership Defiance County class was welcomed by Mayor Mike McCann. The day included team-building at Camp Lakota, a visit to the Andrew L. Tuttle Memorial Museum, and insights on tourism from Kirstie Mack, Director of the Defiance Development & Visitors Bureau. We finished with an overview of the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce by our Director, Sarah Tackett. Excited for the year ahead!
