BUDDY WALK, DSA Month, & More!

October is going to be busy as we celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month. We have several opportunities to spread awareness in our community this year, and we need your help! Read on for more information, but before you scroll, please remember that Buddy Walk registration is open now, and you can really help us by registering early so that we know how many folks to prepare for! Register by Oct. 3 at 5 pm to get your complimentary T-shirt.

STATE HIGH FOOTBALL GAME TO RECOGNIZE CRDSS DURING DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH!

On Friday, October 4th, CRDSS members will be the pregame honorees at the State High home football game! We are invited to go down on the field before the game and form a tunnel for the players to run through. Please email Anne Marie if you plan to attend, so that they can have tickets at the booth for us. We will be meeting near the ticket office (close to the "parklet" and on the Allen St side of the stadium) at 6:15 PM and going into the stadium together. Again, we would really like to know who is attending so we can have tickets ready in advance.

BUDDY WALK PARADE!

Decorate your wagon or stroller or create a float for this year's Buddy Walk! We'll be awarding 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the best entries in our Parade!

FERN WISE UPDATE

Fern is home! Fern’s mom Heather House reports that they are back in the States & are so happy to be reunited with Fern’s brothers. Fern will continue treatment for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia for almost two more years.

CRDSS leadership is currently searching for our next director. Unfortunately, Anne Marie Rodgers will be retiring by the end of the year due to unexpected family commitments.
