Dear Friends,
As we enter the fall fundraising season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the impact we can make not only in our communities but also within our own organizations. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to invite you to our September luncheon, “Advancing Women, Advancing Philanthropy,” featuring a panel of incredible women sharing their journeys in the philanthropic sector.
Over the course of my career, I have often faced challenges—wondering how to find my voice and advocate for myself. Fortunately, I have had the privilege of working with some incredible women who guided me professionally and personally. Some I have worked for and some I have come to know through AFP. These were women I could look up to and emulate, hoping to grow into even a fraction of the remarkable leaders they are. Over time, I realized that connecting with other women, hearing their stories, and learning from their experiences gave me the confidence and tools I needed to succeed.
Our upcoming panel will provide just that—insights from women who have navigated these paths to leadership, built confidence, and tackled the challenges head-on. Whether you identify as a woman or not, this session is for everyone. Together, we can create a more equitable environment where women thrive at all levels of our organizations.
