From Your

Associational Mission Strategist

On September 8th our churches will gather for our Annual Meeting at FBC Unadilla! I am looking forward to this year's meeting. I want to encourage you to make plans to attend. Our meeting time will be identical to last year's meeting. We will meet at 5:00 pm for the elected messengers from each church to come and be a part of the business session. There will be motions presented to approve the 2025 annual budget, Nominating Committee report, and electing a Moderator and Vice-Moderator. I will also be sharing a brief report. At 5:15 a light refreshment fellowship will take place in the fellowship hall as we gather for a great time of Christian fellowship. Our Youth will also be gathering at 5:00 pm to meet with our speaker David Burton. They will eat pizza and Bro. David will be sharing with them how to share the Gospel with some very practical tools. There will also be a couple of great giveaways. We will also have our youth meet with us during our time of worship which will begin at 6:00. This year we will have Jeff Cleghorn back with us leading our worship and our association choir. The choir will meet at 4:30 to rehearse. If your choir would like to join us, please let me know so I can get the song they will be singing to your church before the meeting. I am looking forward to hearing our voices lifted up to the Lord as we sing together in praise. The message during our worship time will be brought by Bro. David Burton from Florida. Bro. David has been in Evangelism for many years, and he will be encouraging us from God's word and will be sharing some simple ways to share the gospel. I truly believe God will speak to our hearts and we will leave the meeting with more zeal and passion to reach the lost in our communities. Please make plans to attend this wonderful evening as we come together as churches. There are things being planned for grade school children as well so the entire family can be a part of our gathering. Hope to see everyone there!

The association office has a small emergency food pantry that ministers to those in need. Many of those who we assist only have a microwave and do not have access to a stove and/or oven, so the above listed items are primarily needed.

(Please check the expiration dates before donating.)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP WITH THIS MINISTRY.

YOUR DONATIONS, AND ESPECIALLY YOUR PRAYERS, ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

What to do with all those old Sunday School books?

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office

Bring your old SS literature to SCBN Center. (Please have the literature packed in good boxes) Chad Harris will take it to an Edwin L. Hodges Ministries collection site to send overseas. ELHM is a Christian literature ministry that collects donated Bibles, books, magazines, tapes, and tracts from American Christians and ships them to Bible schools, churches, missionaries, and ministries overseas. ELHM is a non-denominational, nonprofit, evangelical ministry.
