Montgomery County Early Learning Center Update

The Montgomery County Early Learning Center continues to make great progress! Two new additions have been added to the existing building and are almost enclosed. Around the outside of the building, work is being done to prepare for the installation of playgrounds and other outdoor space. At this point, everything is on schedule and we are still anticipating opening the center in Spring of 2025.

KinderCare, the company that will operate the Early Learning Center, is now enrolling children ages 6 weeks - 5 years. Enrollment steps and additional information can be found here.

NEW: Matching Gift Opportunity!

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, gifts to the Montgomery County Early Learning Center Fund will be matched $2 for every $1 given, up to $100,000! This is an endowed fund that will provide annual support for the MCELC. Gifts will be matched until the funds are exhausted, or until March 31, 2025.

Camp Milligan 2024

Year #3 of Camp Milligan is officially in the books! This year's program was 10 fabulous weeks of fun that included STEAM activities, reading, hiking, games, and making new friends. They tie-dyed t-shirts, went creek stomping at Shades State Park, visited two water parks, the local airport and even got to see Caitlin Clark and the Indy Fever. They hosted special guests, librarians, chefs, and an author. Camp Milligan 2024 will go down as one on the “best summers ever” for many children. The evidence is in the smiles you’ll see in the recap video here.

2024 Early Learning Expo

The Montgomery County Early Childhood Coalition, an initiative of MCCF, hosted the fourth annual Early Learning Expo on August 24. We welcomed over 60 local early learning educators to The Masonic Cornerstone for a morning full of education, celebration, and support.

Our Keynote Speaker was Rachel Giannini, who presented "Love and Resilience: You've Got This!" Rachel's energetic, heartfelt message was focused on the importance of early learning educators and the vital work they do every day.

The morning ended with grand prize giveaways from Lakeshore Learning.

We are proud to host this annual gathering to show our local educators how valued they are in the community. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this another great event.
