About Us

Welcome to Our September News!

Dear All,

As we transition from a vibrant summer to the busy fall season, it’s time to gear up for back-to-school and back-to-work routines. This summer, we were thrilled to host 15 activities for all ages, bringing our community closer together. We’re grateful to everyone who participated and helped us build a strong English-speaking community in Lévis.

With the school year starting and work routines kicking back in, we've gathered some helpful tips to ease the transition. Whether you're getting the kids ready for school or returning to the office, the tips below can help you get back to routine.

As we embrace September and the return to routines, we invite you to stay connected and explore all that South Shore English Network-MCDC has to offer in the newsletter below.

Please note, in this newsletter, you’ll find our calendar of activities divided into three sections: Children & Families, Community Life, and 55+ Social Community Club. Please scroll to the section that interests you to explore all the exciting events and activities we have planned.

Warm regards,

Olena and Melissa

Back-to-School Routine Tips

As school starts, getting back into a smooth routine can make all the difference! Here are some tips to help parents and kids:

  • Consistent Sleep: Stick to regular bedtimes and wake-ups.
  • Night Prep: Set out clothes, pack lunches, and organize bags the evening before.
  • Morning Routine: Establish a clear sequence for smooth mornings.
  • Supply Station: Keep school supplies in one spot.
  • Plan Breaks: Balance work with downtime.

These strategies can ease the transition and set the stage for a successful school year.

Happy back-to-school season!

Back-to-Work Routine Tips

Getting back into work mode after a summer break can be challenging. Here are a few tips to help you transition smoothly:

  • Re-establish Your Routine: Ease into your workday by setting a consistent wake-up time and planning your day.
  • Prioritize Tasks: Start with small, manageable tasks to rebuild your momentum.
  • Stay Organized: Use a planner or digital tools to keep track of deadlines and meetings.
  • Take Breaks: Regular short breaks can help maintain productivity and prevent burnout.
  • Reflect on Your Goals: Take some time to revisit your professional goals and set new ones for the upcoming season.

Remember, a smooth transition back to work is all about planning and pacing yourself.

Announcements

We had the privilege of attending the school's opening day on August 28, where we witnessed the excitement of parents and students as they explored this beautiful new English school.

The joy and enthusiasm were palpable as families reconnected with friends and teachers in this wonderful setting.

We are proud to announce a new partnership between the South Shore English Network (SSEN-MCDC) and New Liverpool Elementary School in Lévis. This partnership is a significant milestone for us, and we are honored to collaborate with such a vibrant and dynamic institution. We look forward to growing this partnership over time and working together on various initiatives to support our community.

A special thanks to the New Liverpool team for their dedication and hard work in making the transition to the new school seamless. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to a successful school year filled with collaboration and growth.
