Rest and Revive Program
Sep 23- Oct 31
With the summer coming to an end and the start of the new semester, many of our schedules will begin to pick up. As our day-to-day lives get busier, getting enough rest and sleep can become more difficult. Join us for the return of our Rest and Revive Program, where we will cover the importance of rest along with strategies for improving the habits and behaviors that impact our sleep. As a participant of this challenge, you will receive a weekly email consisting of information, articles, videos, and additional resources that promote healthy sleep habits and your overall well-being.

Know Your Numbers Health Screening
Fri, Sep. 20 and Wed, Sep. 25
Tang Center (Class of '42)
7:30 – 10 am, Appointments offered every 15 minutes ($10 fee)
The Know Your Numbers health screening is back! Know Your Numbers is one of the best ways to evaluate your health by identifying your risk and providing motivation for managing your health. Even if you feel great and look healthy, you may not know what's going on inside. Many diseases are "silent" and affect your health long before you feel anything wrong.
Know Your Numbers is a voluntary, fasting health screening including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides, glucose, and blood pressure. Participants will receive confidential results (seen only by Be Well at Work - Program staff) and immediate resources for follow-up.

Recipe of the Month:
Ghanaian Red Red
The recipe for this popular Ghanaian dish is from Afia Amoako, a Ghanaian Canadian food blogger. The vitamin C from the vegetables improves absorption of the iron from the beans. It is traditionally made with red palm oil, which is sustainably harvested in west Africa, but you can substitute another oil. Serve with rice and fried or baked plantains. Recipe from Flavors Around the World Spring 2024. Find these recipes and other flavorful international recipes under “Seasonings and Spices” on the Recipes by Class page.
