Message from Dean Egerstedt

The second you think you have nothing left to learn, you start falling behind. In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, there is no such thing as maintaining the status quo, and the need for lifelong learning has never been greater. This is true also in the dean’s office, which is where our advisory board plays such a vital role. In fact, the UCI Samueli School of Engineering Dean’s Leadership Council met recently and I could simply not ask for a better advisory board! There is so much talent, passion, experience, and generosity in the room. Our programs noticeably level up after each meeting – perfect timing, as we are currently in the midst of gearing up for the fall quarter.

Best,

Magnus Egerstedt, Ph.D.
