Tradewinds Parks has something for everyone! Located in Coconut Creek on the north and south sides of Sample Road next to the Turnpike, the large and diverse park offers a variety of recreational activities from horseback riding to the two 18-hole courses for disc golf. Experience Butterfly World featuring hundreds of butterflies and birds you can hold in the palm of your hand. Whether you want to take a walk on the paved nature trails, hold a party in one of the shelters, or play a sport on one of the athletic fields, Tradewinds Park can you be Your Park, Your Way! STEAMtastic Family Science Nights at Delevoe Park

Join us for fun and learning on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! Family science nights at Reverend Samuel Delevoe Park will be held from 6-7:30PM on September 16, December 9, February 17, and May 12. Preregistration required. Call 954-357-8143/8170 or email Special Populations.

Butterflies of Fern Forest Nature Center

Discover some of the commonly seen butterfly species found at Fern Forest Nature Center. This 247-acre urban oasis is known for its ferns and is a haven for butterflies. This free program will hold its final event on Sunday at 10AM on September 14.

Beekeepers Open House at Tradewinds Park

Learn about bees and honey at the Tradewinds Park apiary open house on September 20 from 10AM-noon. The apiary is located on the north side of Sample Road in Tradewinds Park.

Equine Experience for Veterans

Special Populations and the Equine Assisted Therapies of South Florida are holding an Equine Experience for Veterans on September 20 from 10AM-noon at Tradewinds Park. Space is limited. Email Special Populations or call 954-354--814/8170.

Pollinator Parties at Broward County Parks

Parks for Pollinators is a national campaign to raise awareness in the pollinator crisis. Use the iNaturalist app to upload pictures of plants and pollinators during the whole month of September. Attend a guided hike event to learn more about pollinators, the app, and the project. Events at Broward County Parks will be held on
