Message from the Vice Provost for Faculty Success

Greetings Mean Green Colleagues,

I hope you are settling into the semester and enjoying the energy of our bustling campus. Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, and I hope you are able to enjoy some of the events and celebrations happening in Dallas, Fort Worth, and across North Texas

The Faculty Success team is eagerly watching nominations for our Salute to Faculty Excellence awards roll in as our Oct. 9 deadline approaches. These prestigious distinctions recognize faculty excellence in mentoring, research, leadership, service, teaching, and community engagement. We urge you and your colleagues to apply.

ICYMI, UNT’s COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction Final Report has dropped! This report highlights the initial survey and follow-up data collection findings that speak to how faculty perceive their job satisfaction. I applaud our COACHE Steering Committee, which actively engaged faculty perspectives in exploring the survey data through interviews, focus groups, and community conversations. I hope you find the recommendations impactful and timely.

Finally, our newsletter lists many opportunities to learn and connect with your faculty community. Whether you attend our Speed Mentoring Luncheon, Writing Group, or Crucial Conversations workshop or just relax with coffee and a snack in our Faculty Lounge (Union 249), Faculty Success is here for your journey.
