Dear Pastoral Assistants of Faith Formation and Catechists,

Farewell and Thank you -

Thank you for all your support, collaboration and dedication to teach and live the faith. During these 7 years, I had the opportunity to witness how many of you taught showing the way and give meaning to life through Jesus in your parishes.

Thank you for proclaiming the essence of the Word and evangelizing by speaking in the name of God. The position as Director of Faith Formation taught me that I had to disappear in order for Jesus to appear. And for this reason, we managed to reach many catechists, volunteers, parents, children and young people as our report shows below.

Thank you for your accompaniment and with this article I say goodbye paraphrasing the words of St. Paul to the Ephesians: "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better" and lead others to him. Catechists may your life be a proclamation and may your work create many disciples! Keep me in your prayers.

Until a new director is hired, please send your questions, comments or requests to: formation@seattlearch.org.

For marriage and family questions, please email:

marriagefamilylife@seattlearch.org

Kind regards,

Carlos Carrillo

Director of the Department of Lifelong Formation

Catechetical Sunday 2025

The 2025 theme encourages us to be prepared to share the basis of our faith, the Lord, and the hope He provides. In the same manner Saint Peter encouraged the believers of his time, the scripture reminds us, the sharing should be done with gentleness and respect.
