Introducing CEDERBERG wines from South Africa - available to order now

Since 1893, the Nieuwoudt family has farmed the rugged land of the Dwarsrivier in Cederberg, situated 250 km north of Cape Town. The total property is vast, spanning over 13,000 acres of which 163 acres of land are dedicated to vineyards. The first vines were planted in 1973 and David Nieuwoudt, the fifth generation, has been managing the farm since 1977. The property is aligned with the Khoisan spirit of environmental stewardship and Cederberg Wines is a WWF Conservation Champion. Sustainable practices are employed and there is no spraying of herbicides or pesticides for the past five years. The isolation of the site, along with

the elevation, ensures a virus-free environment while offering unique growing conditions. This is especially important to the farming and production of a later harvested red grape varietals. Innovation and simplicity is also encouraged and harnessed to increase quality wherever possible.

Cave Spring Cabernet Franc 2023

TOP 100 Best Buys of 2025 in Wine Enthusiast

91 points - Wine Enthusiast

“The aromas of Bing cherry snow cones, violets, blackberries and chamomile are so fresh that it feels like someone opened the window for a breeze to pass by. It is a bit different when you take your first sip. A crispy blackberry turnover flavor is pierced by a black tea note matched by

leathery tannins. This is an attractive yin-yang situation.”

Champagne Jean Josselin

Audace Rosé

91 points - Wine Spectator

“A deeply hued and distinctive rosé Champagne, with an overtone of medicinal herbs and spices, while firm acidity creates a dry, chiseled frame for flavors of white raspberry, ruby red grapefruit and plum skin, plus hints of chalk and smoke.”

Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof Wiltinger Alte Reben 2022

93 points - James Suckling

“Stacks of spring blossom and a summer garden after rain. After some aeration in the glass also touches of baking spice and fresh ginger. Exquisite balance of just a hint of aromatic sweetness with elegant acidity on the front and mid-palates makes this barely off-dry wine hard to resist. Very clean and surprisingly dry finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair’n Green certification. Vegan."

(available in wood case)

BEST BUY

“On the nose, the gentle tang of ripe Bing cherries and orange peel is both complemented and balanced by fresh top soil and Mediterranean herbs, while the palate brings sweeter cherries and raspberries, before a dusty cocoa finish brings out the

bitter orange element again. Acid crackles around chalky tannins.”

La Chasse des Princes
Côtes-du-Rhône Villages
 2021

92 points -Wine Enthusiast

“Concentrated and pure, this blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah fills the glass with pomegranate, olives, sour cherry, layered with fresh rose and violet petals. The palate is incredibly complex, with a lot more to reveal over time. Beautiful base notes of wild strawberry and rose emerge alongside fresh, earthy undertones, giving this wine remarkable depth.”

Cave Spring Gamay 2023

92 points - Wine Enthusiast

“The show starts with ripe blackcap raspberry aroma joined by wisps of cedar and bacon fat. While the wine feels light, its acidity is not. Prepare to pucker just a bit as you revel in flavors like black cherry

hard candies and lemon zest.”

Cave Spring Pinot Noir 2023

91 points - Wine Enthusiast

“This light-bodied Pinot Noir floats on the palate like a butterfly, but its acidity stings like a bee. The wine’s bright red cherry and saline aromas lead to flavors like sour cherry hard candies and lemon zest. The wine’s mouthfeel vibrates like an air hockey table, making each sip seem like a splash of ice-cold water in the face. What a fantastic value.”
