MISSION & VISION ACTUALIZED

CELEBRATING GENEROSITY:

Chip O'Hare

DRIVING SUPPORT FOR NDCR STUDENTS

NDCR is blessed with many champions, and Chip O’Hare is among our most faithful. A former NDCR Board member, longtime friend, and generous donor, Chip continues to strengthen our mission in countless ways.

This summer, winners of his auction prize enjoyed a perfect day of golf and lunch at The Country Club in Brookline. Pictured left to right are Emery Berault, Scott Gregg, Josh Brandes, and host Chip O’Hare. This special outing was one of the experiences Chip generously gifted at NDCR’s Believe & Achieve Gala & Auction in May 2025—a celebration that raises essential support for our students each year.

As founder and Chairman Emeritus of JOH (Johnson O'Hare), a full-service food sales and marketing company—and one of NDCR’s ongoing Corporate Work Study partners—Chip has helped open doors of opportunity for our students for many years. His generosity, leadership, and friendship embody the spirit of NDCR’s mission, and we are deeply grateful.

It's not too early to SAVE THE DATE:

FAITH IN ACTION:

LEADERS THROUGH SERVICE

NDCR Students Serve at Spicket River Clean-Up

NDCR students rolled up their sleeves in Lawrence to take part in the annual Spicket River Clean-Up - Led by Groundwork Lawrence. NDCR joined hundreds of volunteers working to care for the local community and environment. With energy and teamwork, our students collected trash and debris along the riverbanks, showing their commitment to making a positive difference right here at home.

They were joined by Principal Anthony Zavagnin, Vice Principal Mabel Dominguez, Dean of Students Bailey Magazzu, and Campus Minister Jill Joyce, who supported and cheered on their efforts. At the heart of this day, though, were the students themselves, living out NDCR’s mission through service, leadership, and love for their community.

NDCR Students Walk for Hope

NDCR students proudly joined the Lazarus House Walk for Hope, walking side by side with community members to support families experiencing homelessness and poverty. Their participation reflected the spirit of faith and service at the heart of NDCR, showing that our students are leaders not only in the classroom but also in their community.

Chaperoned by Dean of Students, Bailey Magazzu and Campus Minister, Jill Joyce, the students brought energy, compassion, and hope to an event that raises critical support for those most in need.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

September 15 - October 15

CELEBRATING CULTURE, CELBRATING COMMUNITY!

The NDCR community came together for a beautiful Community Homeroom led by the Spanish Department, where students proudly shared projects, performances, and reflections in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. From singing and dancing to powerful stories of resilience and identity, students offered a heartfelt glimpse into the richness of their culture and the challenges faced by immigrant families, reminding us of the strength and pride within our community.

The celebration culminated in a surprise recognition of Juanita Rivera, Corporate Work Study Office Manager, whose dedication and artistry have enriched NDCR. Surrounded by her invited family, Juanita received a certificate honoring her as “A beacon of our heritage. Your passion and your art keep alive the traditions that define us. Through you, the past and present meet to shape a future - full of cultural pride. With admiration and gratitude this Cultural Heritage Month.” It was a moving moment for the community. We are also grateful to Juanita’s family for being part of such a meaningful celebration. CONGRATULATIONS JUANITA!

Special thanks to Jose Capellán, the Spanish Department, and all of our students for their creativity, courage, and pride in sharing their work and heritage!

NDCR ON THE MOVE

SENIOR NIGHT:

FAMILY IS A CORE VALUE AT NDCR

NDCR Volleyball Serves Up Excitement!

Interest in NDCR volleyball was so strong this year that a new JV team was added alongside Varsity, giving more students the chance to play and grow in the sport. The season recently celebrated a highlight with Senior Night, honoring our senior athletes for their leadership and dedication!

A heartfelt thank-you goes to Coaches Jill Joyce and Jodi Farrell for their guidance, and to Athletic Director Jim Weymouth for his support.

Perhaps the greatest highlight of all has been the incredible energy from classmates who have packed the stands—cheering, holding signs, and showing what true NDCR spirit looks like!
