A Note from the Executive Director | | |
The staff team at NMASBHC has a lot to ask of you and a lot to provide for you this month. We know that looming federal challenges are occupying a lot of the planning energy for school health practitioners, and as we craft the training and resources that NMASBHC provides, your needs are top of mind. The school health ECHO that kicks off next month, the SBHC head to Toe pre-conference, and the many other projects we're implementing all take into account likely federal impacts on New Mexico families. As you continue your hard work, I hope the words of one of your colleagues shared below will give you strength! I also hope you'll read on to learn more about what our organization can do to help you.
"I love school based health centers! From seeing families that are lost in the healthcare system looking to just getting their children treated for an acute illness, to helping a young person deal with anxiety they didn't even realize they had. Seeing the smile on their faces and the genuine gratitude for what we do is what keeps me going during the hard times."
- Mathew Martinez, La Clinica de Familia
Wishing you health and hope!
