Join Us for Our Mobile Clinic Open House Oct. 25th

Fulcrum Health is excited to invite you to our first-ever Care Connections Mobile Clinic Open House, Oct. 25th at Fulcrum Health’s headquarters, where you will get the opportunity to tour our new mobile clinic and learn more about this exciting new community outreach program.

Through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Fulcrum Health is delivering physical medicine on wheels to the communities of Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties in Minnesota. Fulcrum’s physical medicine team will be stationed around the Twin Cities metro area, starting in Anoka County, to provide chiropractic and acupuncture care to members of the community.

It’s more than just on-site care. If someone needs ongoing support, we’ll connect them to one of our network providers right in their community. That way, the care doesn’t end when the mobile clinic rolls away. Patients have a clear path to continue their treatment and stay on track in managing their pain and improving their quality of life.

This is an exciting opportunity for providers to experience this innovative approach to care and Fulcrum’s unwavering commitment to our mission and vision—to unlock the full potential of physical medicine and improve the quality of life in our communities by delivering high-quality healthcare networks and support.

Security Spotlight: Protecting Physical Mail in Your Practice

Physical mail often contains sensitive data—patient information, prescriptions, lab results, or financial documents. Mishandling it can lead to privacy breaches, identity theft, or HIPAA violations.

Here are some key security practices to help prevent these issues:

• Secure Mail Area: Ensure mail is delivered to a locked room or secure reception desk. Never leave it unattended in public areas. Ideally, use a locked drop-box for after-hours deliveries and secure outgoing mail to prevent interception.
• Access Control: Limit mail handling to authorized staff. 
• Tampering Checks: Train staff to spot signs of tampering (e.g., resealed envelopes). Report issues to management and the courier.
• Proper Disposal: Shred sensitive mail using a crosscut shredder or certified service.
• Secure Outgoing Mail: Store outgoing mail securely. Verify recipient addresses and use registered mail or return receipts for tracking.
• Staff Training: Include mail security in onboarding and annual training. Reinforce its importance regularly.
