SEPTEMBER 2025 NEWSLETTER

On behalf of the PTSA Executive Committee, welcome back to school!

In the coming year, the PTSA is excited to bring back signature programs such as the Science Fair, Spelling and Geography Bee, Family Movie Night, Senior Scholarship Awards, the Graduation Parade, and Welcome BBQs at the middle and high school.

The PTSA is also looking forward to funding new school-led grant requests. Last year’s approved grants included a new electric piano and mural at Dows Lane, guest author visits, clubs, enrichment programs, field trips, and professional development - all of which foster a sense of community while enriching the student experience.

Learn More About Our Programs!

Our organization relies on your support to ensure we can continue investing over $120,000 annually in programming and resources that fall outside the District budget. That translates to $75 spent per student per year.

Purchasing an annual membership is the first and easiest step to support the PTSA and the work of its volunteers. Membership also includes voting privileges on key leadership and financial decisions.

We thank you for your continued support and encourage you to reach out with any questions or suggestions at hello@irvingtonnyptsa.org!

Got a Question for School Administrators? Submit a PAC Query!

A key responsibility of the PTSA is to facilitate the Parent Advisory Council or PAC. PAC is a forum for parents to anonymously raise questions/concerns or share suggestions with school administrators about topics that impact the District, the school, the grade or a class. Each school (Dows Lane, Main Street School, Irvington Middle School and Irvington High School) has its own PAC which is composed of that school’s principal and assistant principal, and the PTSA school VPs and Grade Parents.

PAC questions can be submitted through a Google Form and parents can opt to remain anonymous. Visit www.irvingtonnyptsa.org/pac to meet your school’s PTSA PAC representatives, PAC meeting dates and minutes, and the link to submit a question or comment to your school’s PAC.

Thank you to all our volunteers for organizing these special events to bring students together and celebrate the start of the school year!
