Dear Beloved Members, Pastors, and Supporters,
What you’re preaching matters. Every Sunday, pastors step into pulpits across our churches and open God’s Word. That moment is not just a routine; it is eternity-shaping. What we preach matters because it forms the foundation of what our people believe, how they live, and how they pass the faith on to the next generation.
If we preach opinions, people may be entertained but not transformed. If we preach trends, people may be impressed but not anchored. But if we faithfully preach the Word of God, we give our people truth that saves, sustains, and strengthens.
Paul reminded Timothy to “Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). The health of our churches, the depth of our discipleship, and the mission of reaching the lost all hinge on what is coming from our pulpits.
So what does this mean in practice?
For pastors:
◦ Make the Bible the center of your preaching, not headlines, politics, or
personal stories.
◦ Preach the whole counsel of God, not just the parts that are easy or
popular.
◦ Prepare with prayer, knowing that you’re not just crafting a talk, you’re
delivering God’s truth.
For church members:
◦ Pray for your pastor as he studies and preaches each week.
◦ Bring your Bible and follow along; be a participant, not just a listener.
◦ Discuss the sermon with your family or small group to let the Word take
root in daily life.
◦ Hold fast to the Word, even when it challenges or convicts you.
What we’re preaching truly matters for today, for tomorrow, and for
eternity. May our pulpits ring with the clear, bold, life-giving message of
the gospel.
For King & Kingdom!
