Dear St. Raphael Parish Family,

The joy of Jesus be with you! It is difficult to believe we are already almost a month into the school year.  For those of you who are new to faith formation at St. Raphael, each month the members of the RE team contribute to a newsletter that is shared with parish families registered in our faith formation program.  The articles are meant to inform, celebrate, and support your family as you grow together in the faith and love of Jesus.

• Note from the Director: I share how a pilgrimage to Holy Hill with my son Andrew reminded me that the spiritual journey is anything but linear.

• Family Outreach: Kathy Baehman gives advice for how to entrust our children to the loving care of Jesus.   

• Sunday School: Gwendolyn Noto shares the “good news” of the different topics that our littlest disciples learned about during the month of September.

• Elementary: Lisa Lynch shares a “behind the scenes” perspective of being a new member of the parish staff, as well as her gratitude for the many loving and wonderful catechists who share the Good News with our children.  

• Middle School/High School: Katie Klug reflects on the youth mission trip to our sister parish which took place in August and the call to serve God by serving others.  

• InFormed Highlights: Video clips geared toward parents, youth, and children that focus on living the Catholic faith! 

In addition to our RE newsletter, there is also a St. Raphael Faith Formation Facebook group where St. Raphael families are able to share tips for raising children in the faith. There is also a variety of resources and reflections provided by the Faith Formation team.
