Know Your Numbers Health Screening

Wed, Sep. 17 and Tue, Sep. 23

Tang Center (Education Center)

7:30 – 10 am, Appointments offered every 15 minutes ($10 fee)

The Know Your Numbers health screening is back! Know Your Numbers is one of the best ways to evaluate your health by identifying your risk and providing motivation for managing your health. Even if you feel great and look healthy, you may not know what's going on inside. Many diseases are "silent" and affect your health long before you feel anything wrong.

Know Your Numbers is a voluntary, fasting health screening including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides, glucose, and blood pressure. Participants will receive confidential results (seen only by Be Well at Work - Program staff) and immediate resources for follow-up.

Wellness Traditions: Ayurveda and Yoga

Wed, Sep 17 | 12:10-1pm

In-Person

Tang Center-Class of '42

Throughout human history and across the globe, ancient healing practices played a significant role in addressing health and wellness long before the advent of modern medicine. Ayurveda and its “sister science” Yoga are examples of healing practices which arose in ancient India and continue to be influential for health and wellness in the modern day. This workshop will cover the tenets of Ayurveda and Yoga and how they can be applied to boost wellness in the modern age. Participants will have an opportunity to experience a sampling of these practices - including tasting various herbs and practicing yoga poses - during the session.
