Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost

Formation this Fall

Friends,

As we embrace the changing seasons, we invite you to embark on a journey of faith and fellowship with us at The Falls Church. We believe that growth in faith is a lifelong endeavor, and we are delighted to offer a diverse range of formation opportunities. Whether you're a seasoned theologian or just starting to explore your spiritual path, there's a place for you here:

  • Theology on Tap (Monthly): Join us for thought-provoking discussions over your favorite beverages, as we explore the intersection of faith and everyday life.
  • Education for Ministry (Weekly): Dive deeper into your understanding of scripture and theology in our weekly group, where meaningful connections are made.
  • Bible Study Group (Twice Monthly, Starting in October): Embark on a journey through the scriptures, discovering their relevance to our lives today.
  • Centering Prayer Group (Every other Thursday, beginning November 2): Find peace and serenity in the practice of centering prayer, a wonderful way to nourish your spiritual life.
  • Adult Forum (Sundays at 10:20 a.m.): Engage in enlightening discussions in our Parish Hall every Sunday morning.

For our wonderful women of the parish, don't miss the chance to join us for our annual Advent Retreat in early December—a time for reflection, renewal, and connection.

Our Parish also hosts a variety of fellowship groups to help you connect with like-minded individuals:

  • Queer Faithful Group: A supportive community for LGBTQ+ individuals.
  • Young Families Fellowship: For parents and young children to share in faith and friendship.
  • Young Adults: A place for our younger members to grow spiritually together.
  • Faithful Dinner Clubs: Breaking bread together, deepening friendships, and nurturing faith.

If any of these opportunities pique your interest, please reach out to our church staff or clergy. We are here to welcome you and help you find the perfect fit for your spiritual journey.

Blessings,

Matthew+
