Dear Carondelet Community,
We are honored to share that Bishop Barber, the leader of our Diocese, will be joining us on campus on Wednesday, September 24, to celebrate our upcoming Mass for Peace and Justice. This is a very special occasion for our Carondelet community as we continue our 60th year of inspiring young women to live with heart, faith, courage, and excellence.
The Bishop’s presence is a meaningful gift to us, and we are deeply grateful that he is taking time out of his busy schedule to be in community with our students, faculty, and staff. His visit reminds us of our connection to the wider Church and calls us to prayerful unity as we work together for peace and justice in our world. To honor the Bishop and the sacredness of the Mass, students are expected to dress more formally than they typically would for school liturgies. This intentional preparation is a way for us to show gratitude and respect for the Bishop’s leadership and the importance of this celebration.
We are excited to welcome Bishop Barber to Carondelet and to celebrate this Mass together as one community of faith. Thank you for your partnership in helping us prepare our students for this meaningful day.
Jessica Mix ’99
President

Mass of Peace with Bishop Barber—Dress Expectations
When we welcome Bishop Barber, who represents both our local Church and the wider Catholic community, it is customary to present ourselves with reverence and respect. Across cultures, dressing formally honors the significance of an occasion. Just as we would for a wedding or graduation, we show care in how we present ourselves at Mass.
For this Wednesday's liturgy, students are asked to wear black or khaki pants, or if choosing a skirt, black tights, along with their white polo and navy sweater or blazer. This polished, intentional look reflects the dignity of the Mass and unites us as a community in celebration.
Students are expected to wear the full dress uniform when they arrive at school and for the duration of the Mass. If the weather is warm, students may remove their tights after Mass. Students may also remove their sweater or blazer outside during break or lunch.

THANK YOU to those whose investments have lifted up this Campaign. Their support has helped raise OVER $2.6 million.
With less than $1 million to go, we’re confident that our community will come together and push us over the finish line. The project is on schedule and within budget, set to open this November. Soon, our students will have the learning, training, and wellness spaces they truly deserve.
Every contribution to this campaign counts. Gifts of $1,000+ will be recognized on the Power of Her Donor Wall in the new Gym Lobby. There are still dedicated naming opportunities in the Performance Center and at the CAC for those who wish to leave a lasting legacy.
