Dear Parents,

As I walked through the halls today I was reminded of a quote by C.S. Lewis in The Weight of Glory: “There are no ordinary people. You have never met a mere mortal.”

Your children are not ordinary people. In fact, they are extraordinary. As I walk around the building I see them busily learning and creating.

In Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let us make man in our own image in our likeness…” As God’s image-bearers, we share his characteristics, and because God is creative, we can be creative. In fact, we have been called to create. Your children have been called to create.

The construction of an elaborate building in the block center in preschool, a well-constructed paragraph in 4th grade, and a well-played piece in band are all examples of young image-bearers reflecting their Creator.

Our teachers and staff work to recognize and develop your child’s God-given gifts and talents and help them see that as God’s image-bearers they are each extraordinary and special.

And each time you, as a parent, delight in the work your child presents to you and hang it on your refrigerator, you also image God, who delights in all that you do for the good of others and His glory.

Thank you for your engagement in our life together.

Did you know that there are 13 international students enrolled at ECA this year?
These students are fully engaged in their education and the life-changing experience they are enjoying with their host families.
Right now, there are students interested in attending Eden Christian Academy who need host families!
When you open your home as a host family, you have the opportunity to:
  • Build life-long relationships
  • Share God’s love and grace with an international student
  • Learn about a different culture
ECA’s international program provides:
  • Liaison support for both the host family and student
  • A monthly stipend for the host family
And, international students cover their own personal expenses.
Would you like to learn more? Please contact Jennifer Cranston, ECA International Director, at or 412-716-4672
We are pleased to offer Eden Christian Academy families the opportunity to purchase approved, ECA branded masks. The masks are multi-ply, cover the nose and mouth, and are available in several colors. They can be purchased individually or in packs of five.
Orders will be delivered approximately 2 weeks from order date to your child unless you indicate that you wish the order to be held at your campus office for pick-up.
Place your order ONLINE HERE.
We are happy to partner with Instant Imprints Cranberry in service to our families. Please note that this is not a fund raiser and no profit on sales goes to ECA.

We are looking for a Box Top Parent for each classroom. You will:
  • collect turned in box tops from your classroom teacher
  • check the expiration dates
  • count and sort the box tops into groups of 50
  • submit them to the main office

This is a great way to fulfill your volunteer hours from home!

We still have spots for Box Top Parents in PS3-AM, PS3-PM, PK4-AM, PK4-PM, First Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade.

Can you help?

Please contact Sarah Detar at to volunteer or for more information.

Wearing multi-layer masks is a key part of Eden’s mitigation efforts and it is critical that all of us wear a proper-fitting mask correctly.

Please be sure your child’s mask fits properly and that it covers both their mouth and nose. Students are only exempt from wearing a mask if you have provided a medical excuse stating wearing a mask over the nose and mouth would be detrimental to the student’s health.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Just a friendly reminder that buses are dismissed at 3:15.  Most days we have been able to clear buses from the lot by 3:20.

  • Carpool drivers may enter the lot as soon as the final bus clears the parking lot.
  • Please do not get out of your car to greet your child. If they need assistance buckling in, please pull up toward the exit and to the right side near the grass to do so. This keeps your child safe, avoids traffic back-ups, and keeps the line moving!

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
We love to celebrate birthdays and special holidays with our students!
In this current season for the health and safety of all, please be aware:

  • All snacks must be store bought and individually packaged
  • One parent volunteer per 10 children is allowed in the classroom for parties
Please contact your campus volunteer coordinator if you have any questions.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep everyone safe!
