Students, Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
Welcome to September! As the school year is now in full swing, we’re excited to see our students growing and thriving in our "Where Great Things Grow" environment. It’s been a fantastic start, and we have a lot of exciting news and events to share with you.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Back-to-School Fest! The energy was contagious, and it was wonderful to see our students, staff, and families come together.
We will have a Family Engagement Night – Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30. Join us for an evening of learning as we explore ways that help secure the future of your loved one. We’ll discuss how to best prepare for your dependent’s future well being, learn from each other and enjoy a light meal. Click here to RSVP or call 502-398-3384 for more information.
Family engagement is crucial to the success of our students. When families are actively involved in their child's education, it strengthens the connection between home and school, creating a supportive network that fosters growth and achievement. By working together, we can ensure every family is valued and supported, leading to better outcomes and a stronger sense of community. Your involvement is not just appreciated—it's essential to our shared success. A tentative calendar of events will be sent home today, please keep this on the refrigerator or somewhere handy to help plan for these events. Each upcoming event we will send out clarifying details. You will also find in your child's backpack the 2024-2025 PTA membership drive information. After we complete the drive everyone will go into a drawing for a chance to win a gift card. We will have our PTA meeting Monday, September 23rd at 11:30. If you are interested in attending you are always welcome. If you would like to join virtually please contact, Shauna Paul, school counselor at 502-398-3384.
We will celebrate Kentucky’s High Attendance day the week of September 16-20th with a SPIRIT WEEK. Below you will see the fun ways we will dress each day. Regular attendance is crucial for the success of all our students, including those with special needs. We understand some of our students may have unique circumstances that impact their ability to attend school consistently. If your child is going to be absent, please contact the office to inform us. If your child will be out for an extended period due to health-related issues, please communicate with us so we can provide the necessary support. We also have a form available for your doctor to fill out if your child frequently misses school due to health concerns. Additionally, if your child has ongoing therapies, please ensure the office receives a note from the therapist, either for each session or with a schedule of therapy days. If your child often arrives late due to difficulty waking up or other health-related reasons, we need to be informed as well. Our goal is to work together to support your child's education while accommodating their individual needs.
As always, we’re here to support our students and families. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out. For general inquiries, you can contact our main office at 485-8552 or specific questions or concerns, you can reach out to Shauna Paul, school counselor at 502-398-3384, email Shauna.paul@jefferson.kyschools.us or fill out the referral HERE.
Together, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow and succeed.
Warm regards,
Your CHP School Administrators,
