September is Food Safety Month.

Take this Myth or Fact quiz to find out:  Is it ok to wash bagged salad greens? Are refrigerators cold enough to prevent cross contamination? After rinsing vegetables, should you leave them damp or dry them off? Does rinsing melon before cutting affect the edible portion? Find more food safety information at Fightbac.org from the Partnership for Food Safety Education.

The latest issue of Teen Times has been posted online, and print copies of the magazine are headed to your mailbox now! This issue, as approved by the FCCLA National Board of Directors in July, will be the sole hard copy issue of the year, with the remaining issues to be published electronically. As such, it offers expanded coverage and information about FCCLA; essentially making it less of a bi-monthly magazine, and more of a substantial piece of collateral, promoting the organization, our members, programs and initiatives.
Highlights of this issue include a welcome from our new NEC, a recap of the 2014 National Leadership Conference, previews of this year's Capitol Leadership Conference, National Cluster Meetings, FCCLA Week and the 2015 National Leadership Conference, all framed within the 2014-2015 FCCLA "Together We Are..." theme.
