Scouting for Food: Save the date, Saturday November 9 for food pickup and sorting at various locations around town. This is one of our largest service projects of the year so please plan on participating in some way. Click red button for more.
Next weekend Saturday, October 5 - choose from 11 merit badges, Open to all Scouts. Please check items to bring including requirements. Hosted by Troop 75. More info and RSVP here. Great opportunity!
Stay tuned for an announcement early next week on a proposed increase in national membership fees for 2020. The increase amount is unknown. Remember, this increase benefits the national organization. Our local council keeps nothing and had no say in this.
October 18-20 - Just announced: Snoopy will be at Camporall this year! Registration is open. Enjoy a huge campout on the intramural field and access to the new Shark Lab at CSULB!

Nominations are open now through October 31. The Silver Beaver Award is the highest recognition a council can bestow on a volunteer. See prior recipients. Nominations come from fellow volunteers like you.
If you would like to assist in the mission of providing trained leaders for all Scouting programs, plan to attend The Fundamentals of Training/Trainer's EDGE courses that will be held on November 6 & 13 at the Sea Base. Contact Nancy 562-439-4462 for more info.
Next weekend Saturday, October 5 - We will be hosting the popular Den Chief training again. This is an approved leadership position for Scouts to qualify for rank advancement! Den Chief info. All Scouts looking to advance in rank should consider signing up.
This past weekend, our Puvunga Lodge of the Order of the Arrow held their annual Fall Ordeal at Camp Tahquitz. Congratulations to all participants and thank you to those who helped put it on. See photos here.
