“The location for our Nature Day was magical, it felt nourishing to be on such sacred and diverse land. My solo time in nature was the absolute highlight for me. It was EXACTLY what my heart had been yearning for. It was also incredibly inspiring to hear and be witnessed by others in such an honored way."

Leaders

Amy Biesemeyer, LMFT has been guiding and leading Ecotherapy programs and trainings since 2004. She is a licensed therapist specializing in working with women and teen girls. She has a BA in Women's Studies, trained with the School of Lost Borders, holds a Masters in Somatic Psychotherapy from CIIS, and is a Wilderness First Responder. She draws upon her experiences from being a student of Jennifer Welwood and The Diamond Approach, both of which are embodied psycho/spiritual paths to awakening. Nature is her teacher and sanctuary, and she is honored to guide others in the magical unfolding of their inner wilderness.

Anne Loarie, AMFT has spent over a decade basking in the outdoors with people in educational and therapeutic capacities. She supports humans of all ages as they engage with their environment to foster a sense of awe, purpose, meaning and belonging to the natural world. She recently discovered the profound and deeply nourishing work of intensive wilderness ecotherapy programming, having completed the Somatic Ecopsychology & Wilderness Quest Apprenticeship with Wilderness Reflections. She feels honored to work alongside a cohort of inspiring practitioners helping to guide individuals as they tend to their inner wilderness, while attuning to and being with the outer wilds.

"I felt welcomed, included and like I was in the best hands.  This retreat helped me realize how important it is to take time for myself by myself.  I realized how nature can ground me and bring me back to my present self. I also realized that connection with nature was really connection with myself." ~Kim Bartley
