DOE SuperTruck Charge Funding Opportunity


DOE has issued FOA DE-FOA-0003344 with a maximum of $72M. DOE expects to award two to three $24M - $36M grants in two major areas of interest: 

  • Grid-integration of Innovative, High-Power Depot/Hub and Corridor Charging Solutions; and 
  • High-capacity Charging Infrastructure Design and Development to Support En-route MHD BEVs.
  • Final applications due 11/20 but a mandatory concept paper is due October 8.

Pioneer Mobility's eBoost Powers City of Fairfield BEV Buses


David Renschler, City of Fairfield Fleet Manager and Principal at EV Answers has begun operating his BEV Bus Fleet using low-emission and zero-toxics portable power from Pioneer Mobility while he waits for permanent grid power to be delivered.

The US DOE has announced plans to issue a $70M Funding Opportunity Announcement to improve the economics of electric drive vehicle battery recovery and re-use.

Redwood Materials Battery Recycling


BMW, Rolls-Royce, Mini and BMW motorcycles will turn to Redwood Materials for battery recycling. Redwood Materials claims that they can reclaim 95% to 98% of the lithium, cobalt, nickel and copper in worn out batteries.

Legislation for Neighborhoods to Disconnect Gas Lines


SB 1221 is on Newsom’s desk. If signed into law, neighborhoods in California can vote to have their gas lines disconnected and go all-electric.
