Happy Friday! I can not believe it is almost October. Time is flying by. It was great to see all of you at Back To School Night. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing all those who were able to make it. I am so grateful for the wonderful TRCS community. Thank you to those that brought in the tasty treats!

Next week, you will see some additional signs during pick up times. We hope these will help the flow of traffic during this busy time. Reminder, that if you are picking up three or more students we would like you to use the carpool lane. We are continuing to work on ways to make this a more efficient process. We appreciate your patience.

Mindset thought of the week: In Angela Duckworth's book, Grit The Power of Passion and Perseverance , she states, “I won’t just have a job; I’ll have a calling. I’ll challenge myself every day. When I get knocked down, I’ll get back up. I may not be the smartest person in the room, but I’ll strive to be the grittiest.”

I find this statement to be true and valuable. With the right mindset we can overcome challenges that come our way and continue to achieve. Passion and Grit are an unstoppable force. Keep striving towards the goal, stay positive, and keep chasing dreams!

I hope everybody has an amazing weekend and enjoys the beautiful fall weather. See you Monday!

Pick up and dismissal
We are going to try something new at dismissal in hopes of reducing traffic on Ek Road. At the top of the driveway, we are asking parents to use the right lane for carpools of 3 or more and the left lane will be used for all those who pick up at the front door. This will allow vehicles to get down to the gravel parking area quickly without backing traffic up on Ek Road. Front door pickups will flow back into the right lane as they pass over the 4-square lines. Please watch for cones and signs directing the flow of traffic.
Back to School Night treats!
We want to give a special shout out to Denise Huth, Vaishali Marhorowalla, Sue Anne Williams, and Anne Wilson for baking cookies. They were delicious and enjoyed by all!
Fall Conferences
Sign-ups are now available for fall conferences for our returning students! Please sign up via the Sangha app here. This is for returning students only, as new student conferences have been completed. As a reminder, parents will sign up for a time slot, and teachers will be assigned as appropriate for your child's schedule.
Battle of the Books is Back!
We sure are excited for another year of Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB). If your student is interested in participating, encourage them to ask some classmates to form a team !
