OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi

Dear St. Rita Parents/Guardians,

It was so nice to see everyone last Friday evening at our Back to School Ice Cream Social and Movie Night. I want to thank the Knights of Columbus for donating the ice cream, HSA officers and their families for putting the event together, and our 7th grade students for volunteering to staff the candy and popcorn tables. The weather was great, the movie was enjoyable, and our students and their families enjoyed the time outside under the stars. We hope to have another outside movie event later in the school year.

School pictures will take place on Monday, October 4, during the school day. Your child may wear dress up clothing for the pictures or their uniform if you prefer. Due to COVID, the traditional class picture will not be taken and a composite picture will be provided instead. You may order your school pictures from the order form that was sent home with your child last week or by going online to mylifetouch.com and entering our school code which is EVTFTCC4D.

Teachers will be sending you an email later this week about the upcoming parent-teacher conferences scheduled for October 14 from 3:30-6:30 and October 15 from 1:00-3:30. Both these days are early dismissal days. Parents must register for conferences using the link provided by the teachers. All parents are strongly advised to sign-up for a conference to learn more about your child as a learner and have any of your questions or concerns addressed midway through the first marking period.

Our sports and extracurricular programs will be starting this week. Mrs. Palowski, our AD, has sent out information about our fall sports programs. Please check your email for her sign-up information. Be on the lookout for flyers regarding our clubs and activities which will be sent home with your child via their backpack. Currently, we have teacher advisors for Coding Club, STUCO, NJHS, PreK Lego Club, Chorus, Walking Club, Yearbook, Robotics, Crusader Club, and Italian Club. Hopefully, as the year progresses we will be able to add more clubs and activities for our students.

On Thursday, October 7, for the Feast of the Holy Rosary, we will be having a school-wide outdoor rosary service (weather permitting) to celebrate the end of our Consecration Journey to Jesus through his Blessed Mother, Mary. The rosary service will begin at 9:45 A.M. by our beautiful statue of the Blessed Mother. We would like to invite our parents and grandparents to attend. If you will be joining us, we ask that you stay on the sidewalk area on Gilles Road as our students will be spread out on the grass. If the weather is uncooperative, we will have two indoor rosary services and will not be having outside guests.

Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Enjoy the beautiful fall-like weather.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi

Hello Saint Rita Families,

The HSA Executive Board is excited to start another great year, and we have been busy planning events. We are kicking off the year with our 2nd annual Mum Sale and an Ice Cream Social and outdoor movie night!

We would love to have more parents get involved this year! There are many different opportunities to volunteer. There is something for everyone, from one day events to long term commitments, and some can even be done at home on your own time.

The time and efforts of our volunteers are essential and very much appreciated!

Please review the upcoming events the HSA is planning on the back of this page. We will need volunteers to be able to make these happen, so visit the sign-up genius and let us know how you can help. We are always open to new ideas as well!
We are looking forward to working with you,

The HSA Executive Board
